In this NEW vlog, it’s a travel day with a difference from Miami to Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort in Orlando! After travelling by Uber from Miami, we provide a quick room tour of our Exterior Entry family Suite at Cabana Bay, take The Garden Walk to Islands of Adventure and enjoy some food and drink on CityWalk.

Our day starts as we prepare to check out of the Courtyard by Marriott Miami Homestead hotel. We enjoy our breakfast in the outside seating area. Keith goes for the Avocado toast, Luke samples the breakfast tacos and Tracey goes for he loaded tots – all of which are delicious!
We pop to Publix for some snacks to take back for Daisy, and then jump in our Uber for the drive to Orlando. The journey goes quickly and smoothly and we check in to Universal Orlando’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
First impressions are good as we take the short walk to the Castaway block to find our Exterior Entry Family Suite. After a quick room tour, we head to the Bayliner Diner for some lunch and to buy our refillable resort mug. Luke goes for the loaded chilli cheese dog which is very tasty but messy to eat! Keith tests out their chicken tenders and fries and Tracey has a Caesar salad. We all agree that the food is great.
We decide to take the walk from the resort to the parks and locate the entrance to The Garden Walk. Once in CityWalk we make our way to Islands of Adventure for Keith and Luke to ride Velocicoaster.
We explore the interactive activities in the Jurassic Park Discovery Centre, and Luke generates a dinosaur in his own “DNA”!
We watch the drop – and splash! – from Jurassic Park River Adventure on our way to Skull Island: Reign of Kong and soak up the park atmosphere in Toon Lagoon and Marvel Superhero Island.
Back on CityWalk we stop to enjoy some cocktails at the Lone Palm Airport bar and grab some food from Panda Express before taking the walk back to the resort.
The walk takes us 17 minutes, at a leisurely pace and, once back, Keith take a little walking tour of the resort.

We are Keith, Tracey, Luke, and Daisy. We have been going on family vacations to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida for almost 20 years. We have stayed on International Drive, Universal Resorts, and several Walt Disney World Resorts and became Disney Vacation Club members in 2022. When not in Florida we run an accommodation business and support Luke’s motor racing adventures in the BRSCC Mazda MX-5 Championship. We have recently started filming on a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and edit using Adobe Premier Pro. Older vlogs were filmed on a Canon G7X Mark II compact camera and edited in i-Movie.
