Never have we fished flooded grass fields and wasn't expecting fish to be in ankle high water. When you check your weather app, and it reads coastal flooding you are not expecting much down here in Texas but to my surprise my favorite back lake was about 4 feet higher than normal. It was an unreal fishing trip with black drum and red drum tailing in the inches of water. Our plan was to use some freshwater fishing techniques with a drop shot setup but after seeing redfish tailing, I had to change tactics and the results were epic.
