Hey everyone!
Welcome back to the latest episode of Just The Basics. Today, we're getting a bit nostalgic with an update to the most popular tutorial on this channel - creating realistic rocky surfaces inside of blender. If you're new here, you'll find this beginner tutorial super easy to follow along with as we explain how to create the realistic results you see in the video, in just a matter of minutes. If you've been supporting this channel for a while, you may have a question or two, I'll do my best to address them below.
Why the change?
Put simply, animation is a dynamic environment, and as many of you have requested and pointed out, some of Blender's sculpting features have change and there have been other issues that were not addressed in the original tutorial. I hope that this latest version can provide a more comprehensive yet simple guide on how to achieve these effects, but let me know below what you think! Was it worth it or did it just make things more confusing?
