Ready to create seamless patterns even faster in Canva? This is an UPDATE to one of my most popular videos (link is below). This updated method for designing repeating patterns in Canva will save you lots of time! Perfect for print-on-demand items like t-shirts, mugs, notebooks, and more, this technique will have you creating eye-catching, professional-quality patterns in minutes. If you’re looking to streamline your design process, this video is for you!
ADDITIONAL TIPS: If you are seeing tiny white lines in your design where the sections meet up, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to slightly nudge the sections together. Depending on the complexity of your design, you might have to fiddle with this a bit. Try also zooming in as far as you can to make sure things line up properly.
Also, If you’re having trouble with elements or text trying to replace the image in the grid when it comes time to fill in any blank spaces, hold down the Command key (Mac) or Alt key (Windows) while moving things around. This will prevent it from snapping into the grid space.
