Updates in Myositis 2024 (HSS)

David Fernandez, MD, PhD, rheumatologist at HSS, addresses new research and clinical trials in myositis, which includes dermatomyositis, polymyositis, immune mediated necrotizing myopathy, inclusion body myositis, and juvenile myositis. Dr. Fernandez has been a site investigator for several myositis clinical trials at HSS, some of which are currently ongoing, and is interested in collaborating in clinical and translational research efforts. His focus is on the care of people with myositis, as well as translational research centered on inclusion body myositis. His current research with colleagues at HSS is focused on single-cell RNA sequencing of CD8+ T cells from blood and muscle of inclusion body myositis.
