I'm rebuilding and upgrading my desktop computer. With Windows 11 here and Windows 10 going away soon, it is necessary to upgrade because Windows 11 won't support the older motherboard and processors. They need very recent hardware. Supposedly there are work arounds to run Win 11 on old hardware, but it is at your own risk.
My last build was a strong content creation / gaming type rig. This one is a mainstream for storing files, web browsing, running various programs and apps.
I am selecting parts similar to my content creation machine, but less memory, less powerful processor and on board video. I also discuss why I picked certain parts and why I always want to use RAID to help data reliability.
