My famous client, Tye Zamora, brought me a double bass with open seams. After he brought the bass home from the bass store several years ago, some of the seams opened up. It seems that the bass was made with "green" wood and not enough glue in certain spots. I was able to make the repair using my Leatherman sawblade, Titebond Red, and some clamps. I got the idea of using Titebond instead of hide glue from watching @RosaStringWorks . He gets great results from it and it's a lot easier to work with than hide glue.
