US defence secretary Peter Hegseth has issued a stern warning to America's NATO allies, telling them to start spending 5% of GDP on their militaries.
Speaking in Brussels after a meeting of NATO defence ministers, he said Donald Trump was not prepared to allow Uncle Sam to be turned into 'Uncle Sucker'.
Mr Hegseth was speaking after Donald Trump said he and Vladimir Putin would meet to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
