There’s been a recent resurgence in super and hypersonic jets which has seen the Boom Supersonic XB-1 and Overture planes represent some very exciting developments in this field. Plans for these planes stand on the shoulders of giants of the supersonic age, specifically Concorde, arguably the most well-known supersonic jet in history. Concorde took supersonic flight to a new level, something that Boom is set to do in the 21st Century. Let’s look at how they plan to do this.
