Use Run Blocking for Quick Game Pass Protection

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This video explains how you can use a run-blocking scheme to pass-protect your quick passing game. I received an email from a coach looking for quick passing game advice. He primarily asked about protections, so this was one of my responses. Depending on your team (especially the QB), you can use a run-blocking scheme for your quick passing game and flash-fake to the RB. We used a slightly tweaked version of our Power/Counter blocking. We would call the running play and tag it with a quick passing concept and a word that told our offensive line not to go down the field. We pretended to take a picture with a camera to signal the QB and RB to "flash" fake. It turns your quicks into a de facto play-action pass. People will think you are running RPOs. It is like RPOs with training wheels and a great way to introduce them to your kids and staff. The Gun Power Spread System is $100. You will see why when you dive into it. It is expansive and detailed and includes periodic updates that I will send you as email attachments when I add it to the system. I plan on adding a section on unbalanced formations later this spring and sections that will dive deeper into RBs and WRs. This will be a perpetual system that grows over time, and you will not have to pay anything extra for updates and additions to the system. • The Jet Manual is normally $50. • The Offensive Line Manual for Gap Scheme is regularly $30. • The Big Book of Bucks is also $30. Mix, match, and bundle the resources based on what suits you. For example: • If you get all four (the GPS plus the other three), it is $150. • The GPS System bundled with Jet is $120. • The GPS System bundled with the Buck book is $115. • The GPS System bundled with the OL manual is $115. Email me what you want, and I will send it to you right then. Check it out, take it for a test drive, and kick the wheels. If you decide it is helpful, you can send me the money through Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal. handle it this way because the last thing I want is to ask someone to send me money for something that does not meet their needs or leaves them dissatisfied. I will throw in the Wristband Maker on an Excel spreadsheet file as a gift from FTCC.
