In the last couple of YouTube Shorts, I've been sharing some pretty ways of endings songs and playing turnarounds. Now we're doing a deep dive into Barry Harris's beatufiful technique "Borrowing from the Neighbors", which gives endless coloristic possibilities, even when only applying it to the Major 6 Diminished Scale of Chords, as is done here.
Check out Foundations 1 and 2 for a thorough textbook exploring these concepts in much more detail.
There is so much going on right now, and there are lots of options for you to learn more. I now develop web apps that I post on my Patreon, I am continuing to write the Foundations textbooks and create weekly content for the Labyrinth course on my patreon, and we are having a great time in Zoom classes each Sunday. You should join us:)
