I am an artist with a passion for pastels; the pure intensity of colour and softness of pastels is mesmerising and reflects the vibrant light of Australia. I have a duality of styles, either with realistic botanical paintings or creating impressionistic still lives, seascapes, landscapes and cityscapes.
I love plein air painting as working in the outdoors inspires me and opens my eyes to the unfiltered light around me. I am consumed by the colours in shadows, and working in nature reveals more than any photograph. I bring these experiences into the studio where I work most days.
