A YouTube channel dedicated to mid-century Motoring, Architecture, Furniture, Technology and Design.
This channel and website follows a British / Japanese couple, living in the UK, and our love of the homes, cars, furniture, technology and design of the Mid-Century period (1945 – 1969).
We live in a Mid-Century house, own two 1960’s cars, and collect and use Mid-Century furniture, hi-fi and art. The house is slowly being restored as we reinstate more mid-century features, and I’m slowly restoring the cars and other items. We want the house to feel like an original 1960's house thats been cared-for, rather than a modern recreation.
Mid-Century design in Britain, Europe and Japan was important, but was restrained compared to the US. For this reason it tends to be overlooked, but we think it has its own understated charm that we hope to share here.
