• I never made a cent from this channel.
• I don't choose to have ads, I have actually disabled them by default, but many record labels have (rightfully) claimed my uploads and put ads on them.
• Sad but true, Fugazi (Dischord) chose to get money from ads. They chose to be on Spotify (which has ads) and to claim their music on Youtube in order to get the ad revenue (before this, my Fugazi uploads had zero ads, given that I had them turned off). I get complaints about ads on my Fugazi uploads every week by people who seemingly don't have a clue about how Youtube works. "Ads on a Fugazi video is heresy!!" is pretty funny to read, given these circumstances.
