Real Delirium Tremens (DT's), a terrifying reality for alcoholic withdrawal, is something that is often not discussed because the results are often fatal. We will explore the tragic and sometimes comic reality of DT's to share our experience strength and hope that if one has experienced such, you know you are not alone. More importantly, if you have not experienced such a phenomenon of withdrawal, you may gain an understanding and thus avoid this negative reality. Again, this is quite often fatal.
I too thought DT's were Delirium (Tremors). This is not the case! I believed Delirium (Tremors) meant that I would shake, sweat, violently puke, remain sick in bed for three days and then be over with, after all, I had been to that party 1000's of times. But real DT's, absolutely horrifying.
