Started in 2022 to make sense of how we ended up here—WE being one Nashville native and two Tennessee transplants and HERE being a city where we’ve often found ourselves going against the grain—CONTRARY WESTERN is a space for artists to speak to how they ended up where they are, whether they’re currently on tour or they’re spending their days in the studio, and to share some stories they’ve collected along the way.
