I am a gay man who had to hide my sexual orientation from my loved ones for a long time, putting on the mask of heteronormativity. I am tired of the discrimination, psychological, and physical violence from the Russian authorities and society. I will no longer stay silent out of fear of being judged! If I return to Russia, my life and health will be in real danger, so I decided to take control of my destiny and make a bold move — to flee to Spain.
On this channel, I share my experience as an LGBTQ+ refugee, including the process of seeking political asylum in Spain and the stages of adapting to life in this country. I hope that my story will inspire others who are also seeking freedom and safety.
