I have taken up Metal Detecting with my son. It is a great opportunity to get the kids out of the house and into nature finding relics from the past and even a chance to find a little spending money. It is also a great way to get some exercise without even knowing you are exercising. One hunt I used my GPS and at the end of the hunt, I logged over 8 miles, wow.
