Sakong Hongjoo(Pen name: Hyundong) graduated BA and MFA in Fine Art and MA and PhD in Philosophy at Keimyung University in South Korea.
He started his career as a calligrapher in 1985.
He is currently the director of the Korean Calligraphy and Lifelong Education Center (Koreancalligraphy.kr) and the publisher of the Korean Calligraphy Newspaper (koreacalligraphy.org/).
He teaches calligraphy at Namsan Library in Seoul every thursday and in his studio at Insadong in Seoul every friday .
