Chef Naoko Tamura – Bio Main Points
• Born with a heart condition with many health problems as an infant.
• Naoko’s mother discovered that regular processed foods worsened Naoko’s condition and that natural foods improved it.
• She started a campaign for natural foods and opened Tokyo’s first organic restaurant in 1976.
• Naoko learned natural food cooking from her mother and became the chef of multiple restaurants in Tokyo.
• Moved to Portland, Oregon in 2007 to open a natural food restaurant.
• Total of 32 years’ experience in organic and natural food cooking.
