Hello, I'm Prof. Jean Fan. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. My research focuses on understanding the molecular and spatial-contextual factors shaping cellular identity and heterogeneity. I mentor and teach students in computational biology, specifically in developing new open-source computational software and statistical approaches for analyzing spatially resolved omics data. On this channel, I share videos of me learning to give + record my scientific talks and other research-related content from home to make them more accessible to a wider student audience.
