RegenPGC (“Regenerating America’s Working Landscapes to Enhance Natural Resources and Public Goods through Perennial Groundcover”) is a transdisciplinary research team.

Our vision is to make year-round groundcover on US Midwest ag lands the norm, not the exception. Our approach involves planting a perennial cover crop once, which persists for multiple years alongside annual crops such as corn and soybeans.

This approach can deliver many ecosystem services (conserving soil resources, reducing nutrient export, enhancing carbon sequestration, and suppressing weeds). Our approach stresses low management requirements to facilitate cover cropping systems adoption critical to addressing large-scale environmental issues.
