Jackie Schomburg-Abstract Art & Creative Wellness

Hello! I'm Jackie Schomburg Meynen, a self-taught, abstract mixed media artist and teacher. I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband and three young children. My current abstract paintings are focused on identity and the tension between freedom and the need to belong. In particular, I am interested in how impact of internal and external pressures in our lives shape what we think of ourselves. I also teach workshops that will help you free yourself from whatever it is that is holding you back.

My Brave Art & Creative Wellness Workshops offer a safe, judgement-free space for you to experiment, make mistakes, create freely, and focus on yourself. What are your needs and wants? What is missing in your life today? What needs to change for you to move forward? All of these questions are answered through play-based art making. No artistic experience is necessary.
