Life's a Gamble, let's give Chance a Second Chance
Simon & Tricia had both dreamt of owning a historic boat like Chance since their childhoods.
In 2021 the opportunity presented itself and it was too good not to take a Chance.
Simon being a Boat Builder for the past 46 years, so he has the knowledge to restore Chance and Tricia has good organisational skills to keep the project moving forward.
Follow Simon & family as they do their major restoration on their James Silver Western Isles "Chance" from a neglected tried boat to once more getting her back on the High Seas where she belongs.

Chance was commissioned by Lovat Crosley & was built by James Silver at Rosneath in 1948. Chance was designed by John Bain the MD and chief designer at James Silver's at the time, Chance was his first true motorsailer design it was called a "Western Isles".
