The Linocut block printing process is a labor of love and I love every part of it. From drawing the design, to making the stencil, to carving the linoleum (or rubber) block, to pulling the prints, to packaging them and shipping them to you (the customer), I love it all!
I also love making textured art.
Something both of these creative outlets have in common is the fact that they both force me to slow down and trust the process. There’s no “quick” or “easy” way to achieve the end result. You really have to take it one step at a time and it can go wrong at any point but that’s the beauty of it. The hard work is always worth it in the end and sometimes what you thought was a mistake along the way actually ends up being the most beautiful part of the whole piece (and… sometimes you hate it lol).
