Building a cheap tool changer for 3D printers that everyone can afford is the current project.
What's special about my tool changer design?
One, I'm using a single extruder for all of the hotends. This eliminates the need to have a motor for every tool.
Two, it's a purely mechanical design. Meaning, there's no additional motors to drive the mechanism. Just XY motion of the extruder.
I've finished building the first prototype and now it's time to turn this tool changer into a reliable workhorse.
