It’s a Ootsie Thing
Having a nickname like Ootsie for 50 plus years has been so much fun! Why? Because it starts a conversation. My husband Michael nicknamed me when we were dating back in the early 80’s. My family and close friends call me Oots!
In 2013 I opened a flower shop and called it Ootsie’s Blossoms and Boutique and even though I sold that business and retired at the end of 2022 the name still carries on. The flower shop is one of the greatest accomplishments I have achieved in my life.
Now being retired I get to do what I want to do when I want to do it. There is no telling where you may find me. I could be helping my husband in his shop, decorating at my house or church, working in my kitchen, pouring concrete statuary in my She Shed even helping out at the flower shop on occasion. The options are endless.
You will see things I like to do and maybe even some things I don’t like to do, but I am willing to try just about anything. Thanks for following along with my crazy, retired life.
