As a Gen Xer now in my 50's, with the kids off to college I've found that I have some much needed time on my hands to do what is FUN. The Modest Audiophile is a place to discuss a modest/affordable way to get the best music listening experience without having to spend $1000's & $1000's on constantly upgrading your system, chasing the absolute best version/pressing of an album and determining what is essentially good enough to make you fall in love with your favorite artists once again. Come join me as I sift through my music collection to either upgrade from a ripped CD 16bit file to a Hi-Res 24bit file or just go strait to a great yet affordable vinyl release.
