I use to watch my mother at our dining room table sewing her heart out, making dresses for all her little girls. This is where my passion of sewing began. My first gown I had sewn at 10-11 years old. I also fell in love with crocheting the same time.
I took afew garment sewing classes in college, sewn a few outfits for my first office job! Later I took up quilting BOM at Hancock fabric in Manassas and have not slowed down my passion of quilting since.
I love the colors, the feel of various types fabrics (and yarns) and how this can be manipulated into magical things.
So I will always believe my mother is the reason for these wonderful skills I have today.
So I share my videos (4/23) to encourage others to learn this lovely art of sewing/quilting. What a wonderful, fun skill and the quilting community is very supportive! I also share my helpful tips along the way. Thank you!
