Butterfly Grove Farm
My wife and I started with 14 acres near our home in Burnet, Texas. It was nothing but a mess of trees and brush when we began. Slowly, we are building it up so we can live out there. I still work full time to fund this project, so videos will maybe be once or twice a week.
When we compared costs, building our own solar and rainwater collection systems was better than drilling a well and bringing on power, also, we wouldn't have any monthly bills, so I guess that means we are off grid. I'm not sure what homesteading is, but that is how we think of what we are working towards out there.
