Main Objective :
Our project is to establish a digital archive of Bangla folk and tribal music at IUB. It job is to create a music archive at IUB and link it up with national and international research organisations, resource persons and individuals who are interested in the respective fields.
Infrastructure :
The archive is enabled with dedicated servers, computers and necessary equipment (including a Sound Recording Studio) to capture, record and transform different audio-visual resources into a digital format maintaining an international standard. Some of the selected materials would be accessible by the researchers from home and abroad through internet as the archive would be a part of IUB web domain. The School of Engineering at IUB provides all sorts of technical support related to the archive.
