The belief of Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama^ah is that Allah Ta^ala does not resemble anything and nothing resembles Him. He is the Creator of all bodies and He is not a body and does not resemble bodies. Allah is clear of imperfection. Allah is not something imagined in the mind. Allah has no partners in Godhood. Allah does not reside in the heavens. Allah does not change. Allah created the universe, the place, the heavens, the throne, the earth. Allah created everything. God does not need anything. Allah existed eternally before the creations. God exists without a beginning. Allah existed when there was no place, no throne, no heavens, no earth, no time, no light nor darkness. Allah exists without a place.

(ليس كمثله شىء وهو السميع البصير)
which means:
"There is nothing like Allah, and He has the attribute of Hearing and Seeing."

This ayah absolutely and totally clears Allah of resembling the creation
