Thich Truc Thai Minh
Thich Truc Thai Minh (Thay) is the Abbot of Ba Vang Pagoda.
The Dharma name of Thay is Thich Truc Thai Minh and His real name is Vu Minh Hieu. Thay was born in 1967 in Ngoc Quan village, Lam Thao commune, Luong Tai district, Bac Ninh province, Vietnam.
After graduating from National Economics University, Thay stayed at the university for a job and became a wholehearted lecturer, who devoted Himself to His students. After more than five years of lecturing at the university, Thay moved to the Machine Manufacturing Institute under the Ministry of Industry.
On 10 August 1998, Thay with His five friends actualised Bodhicitta at Dalat Truc Lam (Bamboo Forest) Monastery, under the witness of Most Venerable Thich Thanh Tu and Great Monks. After a period of time being a lay Buddhist, Thay managed to leave home, get ordained and become a Buddhist monk under the education of the Most Venerable.
