The North American Council of Automotive Teachers (NACAT) is a nonprofit organization governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. Business is conducted by the Officers: President, Vice President/President Elect, and Secretary/Treasurer. The annual member’s meeting is held the third week in July. NACAT’s Directors and Officers are elected at-large by the members and serve predetermined terms.
The NACAT annual conference is held at various locations around North America and is usually hosted by a local school. This week-long event educates and renews the members to deal with the association’s goal of improving automotive education. There have been more than 40 successful NACAT conferences, ranging from coast to coast, Texas to Canada, and the tradition of excellence continues.
The NACAT organization owes its existence to the forward-thinking automotive teachers who had the strong determination to bring it together and to the faithful members who keep it strong.
