We are Chanel and Mika, a crazy couple of nature lovers in South Africa always doing something insane. We met in 2019 and
we’ve been living our off grid sustainable life pretty much since we started dating, always striving to make less of an impact, live slowly and simply, make and do everything from scratch, and use secondhand materials wherever possible.
We are also both lifelong musicians from two completely different worlds: one classical, the other alternative. We absolutely LOVE teaching and sharing our passions.
Throughout our journey we have been searching for a place to settle, and live on our terms. We’ve finally found it, and have started building a tiny house on our new land. We couldn’t be more excited to be the stewards of this gorgeous piece of nature, and we invite you to follow along as we document the beginning and transformation of our Off Grid Micro Homestead in Tsitsikamma, South Africa.
