ADDIYOGA

ADDIYOGA

ADDIYOGA refers to a system of yoga that emphasizes deep spiritual practices and a holistic approach to self-development. The term "Addiyoga" literally means "the first yoga" or "the original yoga," and is often associated with the yogic teachings attributed to Lord Shiva, who is considered the first yogi in many traditions.
The concept is rooted in ancient traditions, and it highlights the idea of yoga as a path to personal transformation, inner peace, and self-realization. In this approach, yoga is not just seen as a physical practice (as is commonly thought today), but as a way to understand the deeper aspects of existence and the universe.
Addiyoga emphasizes:
Self-awareness and mindfulness – Connecting deeply with one's true self.
Holistic healing – Balancing the body, mind, and spirit.
Integration of physical and mental practices – Incorporating physical postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation techniques to purify and align the practitioner.
