Inchakkad Balachandran is a noted malayalam Writer, poet, a social worker, active member in green politics, Lyricist and Great Performer of Folklore songs. Born in 1954 October 20, at Sooranad south (Inchakkad) near Sasthamcotta. He had completed his Pre-Degree from Devaswom Board Collage, Sasthamcotta.
He shot into prominence with his style of reciting his own poems in a powerful manner, endearing himself to many progressives. His work has been widely appreciated for its force, energy and folk touch and gave a mass appeal and popularity making poetry enjoyable even to common man. Most of his works are related to nature and green. “Inivarunnoru thalamurakk ivide vasam sadhyamo..?” is an important and famous poem by him. Budhapaurnami, Nayattu Kausalam, Pottan, Hamsageetham etc are some of his famous works published in different media.
