You might argue that the pinup genre only radiates "the feminine mystique," encouraging women to feel obligated to fit within the mold of superficial glamour, sexuality, and a life dedicated to raising a family or caring for a man. But today's pinup genre has evolved into a safe community in which women can express and embrace their individuality, because how we relate to our physical identity does play a role in our overall happiness and mental health.
