End times

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him everything was made, and without him nothing happened that happened. In him was life, and life was the light of men, and the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overwhelmed it. (...) There was a true light that enlightens every human being when it comes into the world. The Word was in the world, and the world was made through him, but the world did not know him. It came to its own, and its own did not take it. But he gave power to all who received him to become children of God (John 1: 1-5, 9-12).
