Using all natural plant based colourants and clays to try and create a rainbow cold process soap

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Today we are using a selection of all natural plant based colourants and clays to try and create a rainbow design soap to showcase the spectrum of colours that you can create using only natural colourants. The actual finished bar was not a stereotypical rainbow, however, it did showcase the natural colourants and gives you an idea of the wide range of colours that can be created naturally without the need for micas or oxides. Follow our cold process recipe and tutorial for details on how you can make this at home! Our soaps are all palm oil free and this one is vegan friendly too. The ingredients we used for this soap are as follows: Water 220g Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 109g Olive Oil 340g Coconut Oil 184g Shea Butter 75g Cocoa Butter 36g Castor Oil 57g Sweet Almond Oil 99g 1 tsp Red Moroccan Clay 1/4 tsp Annatto extract 1 tsp French Yellow Clay 1 tsp Nettle Leaf powder 1 tsp Spirulina Powder 1/4 tsp Indigo Dye 1 1/2 tsp Indigo Root Powder 1 tsp Brazilian Purple Clay If you enjoy our videos and soap making tutorials please do give us a like and subscribe :-) We will be uploading new videos every Friday and possibly the odd midweek bonus video here and there!
