Today's demo is a simple loose watercolour painting showing a way to use masking fluid to help paint a classic Autumn Silver Birch forest scene inspired by a photo from Pixabay: https://pixabay.com/photos/trees-nature-autumn-forest-fall-6717808/
At some point, most landscape painters paint something similar with the distinctive bark of the birch, this is my 1st attempt! It is suitable for beginners or intermediates. I used raw and burnt sienna, indigo and paynes grey, cadmium yellow and sap green, but please feel free to use whatever colours and brushes you like and are comfortable with if you try something similar. And always best to text your masking fluid on a scrap of the paper you will be using as some of the cheaper papers tear when you try to rub it off.
My board is at an angle of about 45-60 degrees.
