Today let’s explore how do we quilt “that”when that is an unusually shape with no clear definition.
Kate starts by defining the space and creating an outline using the 16” arc template. A Spin E Fex 11 at the ends of the space creates some visual interest and splits the channel to make it easier to connect the two sides of the design. Then creating the outer sides of the channel allows us to fill it with Feathers. This is a work in progress and not a precisely configured plan so we can talk through the process and you can adapt ideas for your own works.
Silk thread 100 wt in the top with double batting and an 80/12 Topstitch needle.
