Welcome! Do you DREAD 🙀 working on a scrap 🧵 project? I really like sewing with scraps ..... USUALLY! Sometimes I even enjoy CRUMBS (gasp) ! But not today. Today was definitely NOT that day. I had a large bin full of strips from when I finished off a LOT of quilts about three months ago. Strips came from the backing being trimmed down when I squared up the quilts before binding them. I had a some jelly roll strip leftovers from other projects. SO MANY STRIPS. And I was just OVER it. These prints and patterns, and even my pretty old sheet leftovers couldn't make me smile. In fact I felt like CRYING! I had been seeing these TOO LONG! Seriously friends, I considered just pitching the bin contents into the trash! Me!? The Recycle Upcycle Reuse It Lady? Yes, even me. I was tempted.
Join me as I got into this project and experienced a complete 180 degree change in my outlook! Talk about an ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!
THIS IS A GREAT BEGINNER PROJECT WITH ALMOST NO MEASURING, ALMOST NO TRIMMING, AND ALMOST NO PRESSING! I hope you use this idea to have some FUN with your scraps! This quilt top finished to 56 inches by 78 inches. ⏰ MY TOTAL PROJECT TIME ABOUT 8 HOURS. ⏰
For easily separating when chain piecing, I love the Blade Saver. Just make sure you get the right size for your old blades. https://www.missouriquiltco.com/search?view=shop&q=bladesaver -
