See a unique place from our homeland, about which grandmother Vanga says: This is the third most energetic place in Bulgaria. It is about the Eye of Osmar, but in the new episode of "The Mysteries of Bulgaria" you will also see the Khankrumovsky rock monastery.

At the beginning, the Khankrum Monastery will sneak through the branches, but then you will lose it, there is no direct path, you will have to go around. The route to this rock monastery is not difficult, but it may take longer if you move slowly. Today in #theclashers we continue the "Mysteries of Bulgaria" series with episode 9 of season 4. I can't believe how 4 years have passed since our travels around #bulgaria it's truly amazing. Definitely, this episode of the #mysteries of #Bulgaria is full of interesting moments, because the Khankrum rock monastery is not easy to access. You can stay in the town of Shumen if you want to see it all.
The monastery consists of three rooms - the vestibule, in which we are now, a western and an eastern chamber, which appears as a church. They were separated by wooden partitions, the holes of which are still visible today. Here's what the monastery looks like from a drone to get the maximum view. I also lean slightly from the one scale window. Unfortunately, very little is known about the Khankrum rock #monastery. It is believed that sometime in the 12th century, monks began carving it and it is believed to have taken them at least 5 years to complete.
Most of the rock monasteries are located in northeastern Bulgaria and are usually inactive nowadays. The people of Varna have the Aladzha Monastery, next to Golden Sands, the people of Ruse can boast of the Besabovsky Monastery, which, by the way, is the only operating one of its kind. The strange thing is that in the Rhodopes, for example, there is not one, neither in Rila, nor in Pirin, most of them are carved in a radius of about 150 km in northeastern Bulgaria. There are also similar structures around the world, from Albania through Ukraine, all the way to China, but we are leaders in number, we have hundreds, each more beautiful than the other.
After looking at it, however, it's time to head to the village of #osmar, where a natural phenomenon called the Eye awaits us. People often know it as the Eye of Osmar or the Ring of the village of Osmar, and indeed the formation is unique in its kind. Before that, however, you can also see the Rock monasteries of the village of Osmar, the most famous of which is the Kostadin Monastery. It is located just below the eye of the village of Osmar and was probably part of a complex.
As soon as we enter the famous Kostadin Monastery, we notice that it is significantly larger than the Khankrum Monastery. To the left of the entrance is a large room with several niches that circles around a large natural column and backs onto the church, falling to the right of the entrance. Those of you for whom #travel is a way of life have certainly heard of this #monastery and know about its specifics.
An altar carved directly into the rock clearly stands out. Icons hang silently around it, and it feels like the place is somewhat muted.
The eye of the village of Osmar is the most famous landmark in this area. You can call #family and watch the whole video together while also ordering takeout. You know it's always good to have #food while watching something interesting. I hope Vanga: This is the THIRD MOST ENERGETIC place in Bulgaria will inspire you to visit these places!
