Vanilla Porter Beer Full Recipe & Guide For HomeBrewers
It is time for me to share another of my tried and tested recipes, this one is one I call the "Velvet Vanilla Porter".
The end result is a velvety smooth porter with vanilla and complimentary porter flavours in a balance that will often fool the drinker into thinking it is a stronger ABV beer than it really is.

75 °C/ 167 °F - 10 min - Mash Out

1.839 kg / 4.03 lbs- Pale Malt, Maris Otter 5.9 EBC (68%)
406 g / 14.32 oz - Munich 20 EBC (15%)
135 g / 4.76 oz - Carafa Special III 1400 EBC (5%)
135 g / 4.76 oz- Caramel 50 50 EBC (5%)
135 g / 4.76 oz - Oats, Flaked 2 EBC (5%)
54 g / 1.90 oz - Black 1400 EBC (2%)
Hops
Use brewing software to calculate the amount of hops to use based on your hops AA% to the IBU levels below, to ensure that you are brewing the recipe as intended:-
30 min - East Kent Goldings (EKG) 18.7 IBU
10 min - East Kent Goldings (EKG) 4.9 IBU
