Padma Shri Prof. Meenakshi Jain talks with Dr. Rinkoo Wadhera about her latest book Vasudev Krishna and Mathura which presents literary, sacred and epigraphic evidence associated with the historic Krishna , the Katra Keshavdeva and the Bhagvata cult. About the Speaker: Meenakshi Jain is presently Senior Fellowship at the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library. She has been Senior Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Science Research. She is member of the Academic Council of Nalanda University. She was member of the Governing Council of Indian Council of Historical Research. She was formerly Associate Professor of History at Gargi College, University of Delhi. . She was awarded the Padma Sri by the Government of India in 2020 for her contribution in the field of literature and education. Her areas of research include cultural and religious developments in Indian history.
