This is the second uploading of this video. On the first, within hours, some comments appeared on it, which were pointed out by an alert visitor as being malware - and if anybody clicked on them (there were three, all the same) - something bad would happen. Accordingly, I took the video down, and with it, hopefully, the malware. So here it is again, and this time one hopes it will be OK? 8^)
Originally, this video was based on a request from a subscriber, who wanted to know how to wire a stereo. pickup cartridge to play vertical cut records.
This video shows how to do that – it’s quite simple.
Then, we go on to show an alternative & rather more versatile method of playing vertical cut discs, so that we can use all our different cartridges & styli to optimise playing, rather than dedicate a single cartridge & stylus to that task.
There is also a related video, an outreach from this one, which goes into rather more detail about making the single transistor phase inverter. See it at: https://youtu.be/BEzRlN6t1OY
This is for those who may not be confident about working even with basic electronic components, and to show how easy, cheap, and effective simple things can be.
