Verticutting _ almost identical as grooming, is a practise carried out on golf courses and bowling greens.
It refers to vertical blades cutting straight down, instead of horizontal blades cutting across the grass when in a mower.
It's aim is to stop the sideways growth from getting too thick, so the lawn can breathe.
Being perfect though, they are not 100% identical in what they do. Even though I often say they are the same thing.

19:51. Recap of the important points
A groomer should only reach into the top 10% of the "height of cut" and penetrates just down below the crown whereas a verticutter goes a touch deeper and aims to cut or sever the stolons that make their way across the soil, and helps to keep thatch down.
Verticutting has a positive knock on effect to all aspects of the turf and soil biology if carried out regularly.
So, the verticutter cartridges are developed by Mark Joyce

Currently he is just one man, but the interest in these cartridges has been exceptional and he is under a lot of pressure to get them manufactured and set out.
Please direct any questions to Mark at Moto-tek as I am unable to provide any details. I have personally spoken with him at length and he is a good guy but extremely busy.
Many thanks for watching this video. It means a lot.
