Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In you use a vintage Hi8 camcorder to record videos and want to buy tapes, you may have noticed that some tapes say Video 8, and others say Hi8. Is there a difference between the two? Will your videos looks different? Also, what does the XR mean on Sony camcorders? And how does the tapeless camcorder work?

In this video, I'll do a side-by-side comparison of video recorded with a Fuji Video8 tape and Fuji Hi8 double-coating professional tape. And answer those other questions.

__Comparison video tech info__
I captured from Sony TRV-66 (Edit mode on, TBC on, DNR off) via S-Video cable to the ATI All in Wonder 9600XT AGP card in Windows XP, and captured with VirtualDub software with HuffYUV lossless codec. I used Hybrid to QTGMC deinterlace each video and I used the bob setting. I upscaled with bicubic to 2880 by 2160. I didn’t apply other filtering with an input par or 10 by 11, and output par of 1 to 1.
