Most sports card collectors fall into one of two groups: either you're a "modern" collector or a "vintage" collector. At times, it feels like there's some tension between the two groups, and I sometimes wonder...why? If we're participating in the same hobby, why does it matter WHAT we collect? Some of us may want Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, and Ty Cobb cards. Others may be into Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. My question for this week was whether there is hobby tension...and if there is, why?
